This 1956 Bentley S1 was originally built as a four-door saloon and spent time in the US before being shipped to Germany in 2008 and undergoing a conversion in the style of a Park Ward-bodied Continental cabriolet. The S1 continental 2-door by Park Ward is one of these special coach-built examples and the last of these launched in 1958 had slimmer rear pillars and larger rear side windows. Unlike the majority of Bentley convertibles in this era this style is not an adaptation from factory sedan stampings but a fully custom body built from the ground up by Park Wards craftsmen.
